Training can be very useful for physical therapy and
targeting specific body parts, but I see it more as a supplemental
practice. I mean, why worry about bench pressing 200 lbs.
if you can barely pick yourself up off the floor?
I hold personal training certifications from the
National Academy of
Sports Medicine and the National
Council on Strength & Fitness. Completing these programs
helped me to better understand the benefits of yoga and martial
arts in scientific terms and taught me how to develop strategies
for tackling physical challenges and realizing fitness goals.
